Cortex Physiotherapy

We are delighted to be working in partnership with Cortex Physiotherapy. We have been carrying out joint assessments with them, and it is clear they share the same ethos as Thistle Help. They ensure the client is the main priority and like us, they are professional and show empathy at all times.

About Cortex Physiotherapy

Our partners at Cortex Physiotherapy are a specialist neurological and complex case physiotherapy service, founded in 2024. Built around a commitment to long-term rehabilitation rather than short-term fixes, they have expanded their services to cover musculoskeletal conditions, mobility and frailty, pain management, and post-surgical recovery.

Their approach is personal, goal-driven, and focused on real outcomes that make a genuine difference in daily life.

Who Can Cortex Help?

Through our partnership with Cortex, we can support adults living with neurological conditions such as stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s, or MS, as well as elderly individuals experiencing reduced mobility, balance issues, or falls risk.

We can also help clients discharged from hospital who require continued rehabilitation, paediatric clients with neurological or developmental conditions, and anyone who has been told they’ve “plateaued” or reached their “rehab potential” and wants to keep progressing. Complex cases requiring ongoing, specialist input are very much welcome.

Physiotherapy Services & Conditions We Support

Through our partnership with Cortex, we can connect you with a full range of physiotherapy services, including assessments, rehabilitation, mobility and gait re-education, balance and falls prevention, and strength and conditioning. Treatment may involve manual therapy, stretching and range of movement work, functional rehabilitation (such as transfers, stair practice, and sit-to-stand), home exercise programmes, and support for carers and families.

We support clients recovering from stroke (CVA), acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, as well as those living with Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), cerebral palsy, and coordination disorders. Post-surgical rehabilitation, including orthopaedic cases, alongside general deconditioning and mobility decline, is also within scope.

Sessions can be delivered in clinic, at home, or through a flexible hybrid approach to suit individual needs.
